I created a patch for kaffeine to fix the sundtek dvb device support:

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365083

It was rejected for mostly personal resons I believe.

Can you apply this patch as long as it applies (no new libdvb).

Wow, that ticket devolved rapidly. The manufacturer rep was completely out of line.

Without going into the reasons, we're not going to apply a patch that has been explicitely rejected upstream. You can create an AUR package that contains the patch.
