After the upgrade from mysql-5.0.22 to 5.0.23 jabberd is not able to connect to mysql anymore. Perhaps it has to be recompiled.

I just did a recompile and jabberd works again.

Same problem here, but the link to 5.0.23 in the PKGBUILD is broke. In fact I can't find the file anywhere. So I changed the pkgver to 5.0.24, compiled, but I still get the same error:

jabberd/c2s[23030]: [7] [192.168.2.11, port=1492] connect
jabberd/c2s[23030]: mysql: connection to database lost
jabberd/c2s[23030]: [7] packet sent before session start, closing stream
jabberd/c2s[23030]: [7] [192.168.2.11, port=1492] disconnect

You must recompile jabberd, not mysql.
