While following a bug about twitch's API change...
https://github.com/chrippa/livestreamer/issues/1478 Someone pointed out that a potentially viable fork has been started due to lack of maintainer input. https://github.com/chrippa/livestreamer/issues/1427 I wanted to file this bug to let the ArchLinux maintainer know that the upstream community is shifting to a fork of the project (which they seem likely to do if the prior project continues to stagnate). https://github.com/streamlink/streamlink |

To update this: Twitch authentication is completely broken (so it
is impossible to watch Twitch streams), and streamlink has put out
several stable releases and has continued to be actively developed
since the fork.

BTW, doesn't youtube-dl support twitch?
