Description:
The laptop just dies and stops responding after I leave it alone for around 10 minutes (without initiating standby or even locking the screen, although not sure if these might affect the situation). Interestingly, it seems this is not happenning when I use the machine. Both laptop and externaml monitors remain black. Cannot change to other virtual console (with Ctrl + Alt + F1/2/3).

Runnin gives `journalctl -r -p 0..3` me:
Sep 21 15:42:01 machine gdm-password][939]: pam_systemd(gdm-password:session): Failed to release session: Connection timed out
Sep 21 15:41:36 machine gnome-session-binary[968]: Unrecoverable failure in required component org.gnome.Shell.desktop
Sep 21 15:41:36 machine kernel: RIP [<ffffffff815d4db4>] __ww_mutex_lock_slowpath+0xd4/0x210
Sep 21 15:41:36 machine kernel: IP: [<ffffffff815d4db4>] __ww_mutex_lock_slowpath+0xd4/0x210
Sep 21 15:41:36 machine kernel: BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at (null)

as the last event that caused this.

After downgrading linux kernel and graphic drivers (intel and mesa) this does not happen. (Interestingly, similar scenario occurs but the system is responding and I can switch to virtual console and switch back after which I see my gnome session.)
