in k3b, when i try to create an iso image from a disc it complains that cdrecord version 2.01a12 is needed. Currently cdrtools version 2.00.3 is used.

what k3b-version do you use? k3b-0.11.5-1 has such a problem sometimes, but k3b-0.11.6-1 works (should work :-) )

pacman -Q k3b
pacman -Q cdrtools

?

i build cdrtools-2.01a26 it is in the incoming section on ftp.archlinux.org/ it should run just fine

cdrtools-devel is in unstable-repository (i will upgrade it to 2.01a26, thanx for the note ... you can also flag-out-of-date this pkg)

... it replaces cdrtools, if you pacman -S it ... but this is not the problem here --- any chance to get answer to my questions? :-)

(k3b is made for cdrtools but also works for cdrtools-devel ... because k3b detects at startup the version you have installed ... that's why i wonder if this bug is something about k3b-0.11.6 or not)

i upgraded cdrtools-devel in unstable-repository

thanx for the infos ... is there maybe some output in the console from k3b? (try starting k3b from console and then try to reproduce the problem --- if it happens, copy the console-output here or as attachement-textfile)

With the new cdrtools-devel package, all works fine ;)
