Alsa is able to see and use multiple audio-outs in terminal mode, but when I switch to my desktop (with xinit or Ctr+Alt+F2) all audio stops and no devices are visible with "aplay -l".

No alterations to Alsa's configs
Kernel= 4.7.2.1
Desktop= Cinnamon

I'm not sure what else to include, I thought it was a driver issue until I switched to terminal mode and was blasted with music... Now I'm just confused.

Oh, of course I forgot something....
Cinnamon has a sound applet, the applet regularly showns "Dummy Output" as the only available output. But occasionally it will show my headset, though it still doesn't play sounds through it.

Cinnamon uses Pulse. Check pavucontrol.

Oh.. That makes sense. I've now configured ALSA to use Pulse by default, but Pulse still dosen't see any devices. And I have lost audio in terminal mode.

Okay. It works now. I've done nothing but restart things a lot and it's curretntly working. Not sure why though...
