Description:
You always log on a GNOME X session when autologin is enabled, even when GNOME Wayland has been previously selected in the gdm menu.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Log on GNOME Wayland
2. Enable the autologin
3. Reboot
4. Tadaa... X session.
