Description:
I don't know how long this bug exists but when you want to take a video screenshot from mplayer or smplayer with mplayer engine, player crashes.
I couldn't see any specific message on debug mode.
I give you an output example without debug mode at the attached file.

The only message I see suspicious is:
Could not open libavcodec PNG encoder
FATAL: Cannot initialize video driver.

Start mplayer with '-vf screenshot' option and press 's'
Start smplayer and click at screenshot
