Description:
using the latest versions of GDM an binary NVIDIA drivers I am not able to boot into a wayland GDM session. Consequently I'm not presented the option to login to a wayland session (only gnome (x11) and gnome-classic (x11) are offered).

gdm 3.20.1-2
nvidia 370.23-4
* config and/or log files etc.

Additional Info from the weston log:

Is "EGL Wayland extension: no" the critical info here? BTW. weston does run without problems - its just GDM not working with wayland.
