Description: Arch Linux' firefox comes with a broken desktop file.
1. Some entries begin with "", for instance the german and the french translations of "New Window".
2. The italian entry of "New window" ends with &#173
3. The ks-entry ends with "&"
4. The desktop file cannot be opened using a text editor from within a terminal. The editor and the terminal will exit.

Additional info:
* package version(s) 48.0.2-1
* config and/or log files etc.

Steps to reproduce: Try to open the file in vi using a fresh, unneeded terminal. The terminal will vanish. After that, open it with emacs and see what I mean, for instance by searching for "&".

Forgot to mention: The GenericName for german is entirely missing. This obviously means that the entry for "New Window" appears in application menues. Should be "Webbrowser".
