Description:
I'm using LibreOffice 5.2.0.4 in my ArchLinux-System with KDE. Unfortunatly all redraws are very slow so it's impossible to edit a text document, a spreadsheet or something similar.
It seems it's a problem with the KDE-Integration, because changing the Look-and-Feel to GTK3 (following the proposal in the forum thread) this gets a lot better.

forum thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=215647

Steps to reproduce:
- use KDE
- install and open LibreOffice (libreoffice-fresh or libreoffice-still)
- open up a new or existing file and try to do something
This task depends upon

I experience a similar behaviour since switching to Gnome 3.22. Using wayland, libreoffice-still and libreoffice-fresh are pretty much unusble and even crash. Under xorg the performace is pretty bad, especially if editing a plot or chart. Any suggestions on how to debug this problem?

This bugreport is not about GTK3 VCL. Slowness in GTK3 VCL is  FS#51002 .
