Technically you are right but there were problems for a lot of users in the latest set of stable drivers that made me upgrade to the beta drivers. Now it turns out the beta drivers have issues as well. Just can't win.

Ok, but excluding that it may resolve some issues... why introduce beta software into a stable repo that could potentially cause more problems?

Because I knew that it would get rid of two previous known problems and also it has PRIME sync support for people who have ongoing problems with bumblebee so that would have helped them. You've got to believe me that I don't like pushing beta software into stable but with nvidia it's always a dice roll. Their stable and beta drivers are not very different in my experience in terms of reliability.
