Description:
- Upstream don't care about forcing Windows specific behaviour on Linux, regarding the scrollbar "snapback feature", a patch was even provided. One line added in: content/renderer/webscrollbarbehavior_impl_gtkoraura.cc: return false; after the line: bool isHorizontal) {. Additional info: - Ever since Chromium 35+ (In 2014, yet people are still complaining to upstream anno 2016.) - https://productforums.google.com/forum/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=footer#!searchin/chrome/Scrollbars/chrome/npQd3zbx9YM - https://forums.opera.com/discussion/1866346/wish-scrollbar-snapback-removed-or-an-optionflag-like-native-on-nix/p1 - Opera devs implemented the patch. - https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chromebook-central/MCDqDKN8_RA - https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=337919#c27 - many more.. Steps to reproduce: - Scroll by grabbing the scrollbar, if the pointer comes more than 138 pixels left or right from the scrollbar, the page contents change/reset to scroll origin - forcing you to keep an eye on the pointer instead of the reading material. |
