DetailsDescription:
xfce4-notifyd (version 0.3.0-1) has a fairly noticeable memory leak which has caused the program over a day or two of notifcations to swell several hundred MB in size in my useage. This is currently fixed in a patch in the upstream git tree ( https://git.xfce.org/apps/xfce4-notifyd/commit/?id=26e04bf1d493e3cc6cfa28a4b010d6d74e3176a8 ) but not currently in a stable version. Could this one-line modified patch be added here until it has been pushed into a stable version? I've tested this patch on my systems. Steps to reproduce: Open a terminal and run "notify-send foo" a few dozen times while watching the memory consumption of xfce4-notifyd. In experience, it has swelled from around 20 MB to 400 MB of RAM. |
