What GTK theme engine are you using and which plugins are listed in about:plugins? also, do you have extensions installed?
Comment by Eduardo (eduac) - Thursday, 13 July 2006, 00:47 GMT
my plugins installed are:

Totem Mozilla Plugin
Shockwave Flash
Java(TM) Plug-in 1.5.0_06-b05

my extensions:
DOM inspector
Firebug

Thats all

And which GTK theme engine? Also try to remove totem-plugin for a while. It's easy to trigger crashes in firefox using this plugin: just play a movie, close the tab while it's playing, open another movie and away goes firefox.

gtk-qt-engine - 0.7-2

I think the problem is not with totem plugin, because this is not happen when i play a video or something. This is happening when i start to open a lot of tabs with scroll button (center button of mouse) on the website link. This bug really piss me off. :(

I guess it's a bug in gtk-qt-engine then. Try switching to a different theme engine. The gtk-qt-engine is in nearly permanent alpha quality AFAIK, the version of it doesn't start with a 0 for nothing.

Also, when you open up loads of tabs in firefox, in the end the outer tabs won't fit in the window. With a regular theme engine the spinner widget will be drawn over the last amount of tabs, which makes them unselectable. I think that gtk-qt-engine screws up there and renders ghost items at that moment.

ok, i ll try that. Anyone knows who is the gtk-engine maintainer? or e-mail of him?
Comment by Jan de Groot (JGC) - Thursday, 13 July 2006, 12:22 GMT
Damir Perisa is the maintainer of the archlinux package website. The software is maintained at Freedesktop.org, so you might want to report bugs about it in their bugzilla.

Is this still an issue with current firefox, gtk-engines and/or gtk-qt-engine?
