DetailsDescription: Change sddm background never worked on my system.
This bug affects Antergos and Manjaro too, two Arch-based distros. I think this is not an upstream bug because SDDM background change works correctly on other linux distros (OpenSuse, Kubuntu and Sparky). Additional info: package version: 5.7.2-1 Steps to reproduce: 1. open kde settigns, open "Startup and shutdown", on left side select "Login screen (SDDM)" 2. select your SDDM theme, click on button below SDDM theme preview and select "load from file..." to change your SDDM backgound 3. choose any wallpaper file as your new SDDM background 4. apply the change and logout from your plasma 5 user session Actual result: previous background is still active in SDDM Correct result: new background is active in SDDM |

it is an upstream issue. You need to use an image that is world-readable. See https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=344867
