Description:
Using Chromium, I see screen tearings whenever I scroll a page or navigate between tabs.

Additional info:
* package version(s) : xorg-server 1.18.4-1, chromium 52
* GPU : Intel i965

Steps to reproduce:
Open Chromium and browse the web.

Do you use the new DRI3 driven driver? Have you tried to fallback to DRI2?

I use the modesetting's stock configuration, it uses DRI3 by default apparently.

[jp@r2d2 ~]$ LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose glxinfo | grep libgl
libGL: pci id for fd 4: 8086:0a16, driver i965
libGL: Using DRI3 for screen 0

By the way, the tearings do not currently happen on GNOME. The bug was spotted under i3.

Using a compositor like compton on i3 actually resolves the issue.
