DetailsCurrently, there's no way to for a package to depend on some non-specific secret service implementation. gnome-keyring, etc. should provide freedesktop-secret-service and libsecret should *optionally* depend on this metapackage (instead of optionally depending on gnome-keyring).
I'm asking because pithos now has a hard dependency on some some secret service existing but there's no way to express this. |

Additional comments about closing: I don't see the need for this. Having gnome-keyring on a KDE desktop is bullshit, having the KDE secrets component on a GNOME desktop is also bullshit.
You can't simply depend on a virtual dependency as it will not work.
