Description:

lib32-cairo (as of 1.14.6-2) depends on lib32-mesa, which should not be needed.
Afaict the package does not depend on either of the lib32-mesa provided files, does it ?

Grr... silly me only looked at the lib32 package and not the base one. Fwiw I fully agree with the reasoning in the said ticket.
Feel free to close this, as it's kind of a duplicate.
