Detailsthe net-tools package needs to be reworked at least the ifconfig command does not work properly anymore. I get the following error "SIOCSIFFLAGS no such file or directory" when issuing ifconfig wlan0 up. This has been happening since the last major upgrade.

When using ifconfig -a, does the wlan0 device show up? didn't it get renamed to eth1 or such?

It gets renamed to eth0.
