Details

Description:

Digikam 5.0.0-1 does not display video thumbnails nor plays videos.
According to upstream, "GStreamer support for video files is optional while Qt5Multimedia compilation" and "GStreamer 1.0 AND Qt >= 5.6 must be used".

Can the maintainers please build Digikam with GStreamer support?

digikam is already compiled with gstreamer support. Do you have all necessary gstreamer plugins installed?

Hi had gstreamer0.10 plugins. After I installed gst-related plugins all is working perfectly. Thanks for your help.
