DetailsGnucash 2.0.0 was just released and I would like to see an official package. For users it is _extremely_ difficult to get gnucash compiled correctly, and I personally do not trust some of the community packages (not for something like Gnucash). Hence, I make a feature request here.
BTW, any news on gnome-power-manager support? This is part of gnome, so I hope it is supported correctly soon. Thx. |

Yes, the Community packages are unmaintained right now (WillySilly stepped down), but I don't consider the TU's "random contributors", and I don't see the difference between Community maintainers and official devs, besides that devs have more access to things.
We discussed making gnucash an official package, but no one has stepped up, and the people that would be most likely to maintain it (Gnome people) said they don't use it, and therefor aren't interested.
