Description:
Because Handbrake associates itself with several video-related MIME types in the ghb.desktop file, KDE selects it as the default video player for almost all video formats. This is extremely annoying because the application cannot be used to play videos, and to revert this behaviour one has to manually associate another video player for a multitude of formats, in every user account separately.
Association of Handbrake with video files is practically useless, because one almost never wants to open a video file in Handbrake anyway; transcoding a video in Handbrake is an exceptional activity which should definitely not be invoked by default - starting the Handbrake application and importing source files works just fine.
The problem can be solved by removing all the MimeType entries from the desktop file.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
handbrake 0.10.5-2
* config and/or log files etc.
/usr/share/applications/ghb.desktop
