DetailsDescription:
Would it be possible to build the biber executable from source instead of downloading the binary from sourceforge? Reason: Downloading binary packages via http (and "secure" it with a unsecure md5 hash) is not the best option I think. Biber also offer there source via github (and https). |

Done. For TeXLive 2016, there is now a separate "biber" package built from source.
