Currently, the kernel shipped with Arch Linux does not enable MPX. This extension to the x86 instruction set is available in generation 6 (skylake) processors and higher (currently none on the market). I would like to be able to play with this extension without having to recompile the kernel. Although the task to recompile the kernel with the option enabled is trivial, I would like to have it officially supported. Thank you. Cheers, Orlando. |
