DetailsDescription:
GPU Rendering on CUDA does not work any more. The official blender Version from blender.org works, but the arch version gives me "Cuda kernel compilation failed, see console for details" when I try to render the default cube on GPU. The console says: http://www.pasteall.org/70739/text I have already tried to delete my local configuration (mv ~/.config/blender ~/.blender-backup/) which was not successful. Additional info: * community/blender 17:2.77.a-3 * this critically breaks the cycles workflow with shaders and makes me use the blender.org package, so severity might also be 'high' rated, if others are also facing this problem. Steps to reproduce: Start Blender, in Properties switch 'Device' to GPU rendering and hit render (F12) notice: two recent changes are *imho* likely to cause this issue: * there is a new CUDA version (7.5.18-2) out * blenders latest development goes towards the newest OpenGL version, which isn't supported on all graphics cards. |
