Reason for closing:  Not a bug

Did you configure tapping? The new version ships upstream configuration that doesn't enable tapping by default. If you didn't configure anything, then this is not a bug and you didn't read the post_install message.

Yes I enabled tapping and I read in the forums others have the same issue and they also enabled tapping. I changed xf86-input-libinput and it works. As I tried reinstall f86-input-synaptics in the terminal I saw a line its in maintance mode

How are you enabling tapping?

by this article , I set the configuration file https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Touchpad_Synaptics#Configuration

As I use KDE in the touchpad settings there is no option to enable tapping with synaptics , there is the line but no square I can tick

with libimput there i can chose to enable tap to click

Specifically, please. People on the forum are reporting that configuring it in xorg.conf.d works.

So KDE follows GNOME: touchpad configuration is only possible with xf86-input-libinput. xf86-input-synaptics can't be configured from GNOME and KDE anymore and has to be configured from xorg.conf.
