Reason for closing:  Implemented
Additional comments about closing:  We've split the packages and firmware loading is working now and the -utils package allows easy reuse for other kernels.

also firmware must be splitted out of the package that beyond can build modules for it too.

enderst also please try to use the newest udev.rules file because the firmware loader changed in udev some time ago.

thanks tpowa. it was the udev update. i don't understand your first comment. not sure if it was aimed at me. maybe the ivtv pkg should mention udev during installation.

enderst this was for paul the firmware should be in an extra package that beyond kernel can use it too.

Two things:

1) I split the packages into ivtv and ivtv-utils just now, for the release of 0.8.1. If others are interested in creating/maintaining/testing the other kernel packages, the framework now exists.

2) If a newer udev than 070 is needed, please let me know if you know which one. I have a dep in there for udev>=070 because 070 was required for loading the firmware in some past version. I can update it to specifically require something more recent if we know what I should require.
