Details

I configured "hosts: wins files dns" in my nsswitch.conf and pacman is now sigfaulting. Samba is correctly installed (apparently) because I can ping to a WINS name correctly.

I worked this bug around setting to "hosts: files dns wins" instead.

The WINS module crashes each and every application when used for DNS resolving. Same goes for some other samba parts. Ubuntu has fixes for this issue, please take a look at their package and fetch some patches from it.
