Description:

Heavy graphical artefacts/distortion after upgrading to kernel 4.6. A downgrade to kernel 4.5 fixes the issue. Built in laptop display displays perfectly fine. External monitors have very bad graphical errors. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8HSrAjjFkA

You could do a bisection of kernel and report this to upstream developers.

Nouveau would be best I guess.
If you bisect you should see what commit breaks and this one has normally mail adresses to contact.
