Description: Firefox tells me to update flashplugin but this
plugin is already up-to-date ( I use the flashplugin package
from archlinux )
the problem seems related to the file "pluginreg.dat" ( in ~/mozilla/firefox/xyz.default ), this file should contain the last number version of installed plugins, sometimes this file is not updated, that why firefox thinks flashplugin version is too old, the workaround is to force firefox to recreate the pluginreg.dat file, by deleting this file, maybe this bug occurs when the flashplugin is disabled in firefox options, firefox forgets to update the pluginreg.dat when flashplugin package is updated Additional info: * package version(s) firefox 46.0.1-1, flashplugin 11.2.202.621-1 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: - update flashplugin - sometimes firefox forgets to update the number version in pluginreg.dat file - firefox will block flashplugin because the number version is too old even if the flash plugin is already up-to-date |
