jinterface is not found in the binary package, but it is part of upstream erlang.

It is not provided by any split package either. I think it should be included in the main binary package.

Additional info:

* Bug found in erlang-18.3.3-1 x86_64 -- but the bug may be present in all versions.

* the build system needs to have JDK 1.6 installed before otp_build is called, in order to build jinterface. The docs at

https://github.com/erlang/otp/blob/maint/HOWTO/INSTALL.md

mention Oracle JDK 1.6 as the minimum version but it may work with the openjdk.

Steps to reproduce:

$ ls -al /usr/lib/erlang/lib/jinterface*
ls: cannot access '/usr/lib/erlang/lib/jinterface*': No such file or directory

Oracle Java SE JDK is listed under "Optional Utilities", but I will look into adding it to Erlang, provided that OpenJDK can be used.

Thanks, appreciate it. Without jinterface it is not possible to connect to Java OTP nodes.
