Description:

When I have google chrome open, and launch smplayer, everything is still ok.
I use smplayer to watch dvb. When selecting a channel, the system freezes.

Additional info:

mplayer version 37857-1
chromiumm 50.0.2661.102-1

As mentioned before start chromium, and start smplayer, select a tv channel, and freeze.
I think it has something to do with ffmpeg, having more than one library.

I have to correct, it has nothing to do with chromium. I just started smplayer without it and again freeze.
I've found the following entry in the log just before the hang:

May 20 12:27:05 ws-001 kernel: BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 0000000000000004
May 20 12:27:02 ws-001 kernel: tda1004x: found firmware revision 20 -- ok
May 20 12:27:02 ws-001 kernel: tda1004x: setting up plls for 48MHz sampling clock

(Note this is the journal in reverse)

So it looks like a problem with mplayer loading the firmware or direct after that.
