Hello,
firewalld seems like to ignore the running polkit daemon:

chris@motoko ~ % firewall-cmd --permanent --zone=home --add-interface=wlp3s0
Authorization failed.
Make sure polkit agent is running or run the application as superuser.

chris@motoko ~ % systemctl status polkit :(
● polkit.service - Authorization Manager

That just says that polkit is running, do you have an polkit authentication agent running?
