DetailsDescription:
For almost 3 months the grub packages is now flagged out of date... srsly? I would not care to much but to get support for booting of a zfs dataset with all feature flags enabled a newer version of grub is needed. Two options: * AUR grub-git: package is unmaintained, so no luck with that either. * Upstream git tag=grub-2.02-beta3: it would support all the zfs feature flags currently supported by ZoL. Steps to reproduce: Try to run grub-intall or grub-probe with the current version when /boot or / is on a zfs dataset, it will fail. As a proposed fix, please update the regular package, why the hold up? To grease the gears a little bit; please find attached an updated PKGBUILD with the security fix removed (fixed upstream now) and checksums, patches adjusted to the grub-2.02-beta3 tag. |
