Description:

After opening a new score and entering a note, the entire desktop freezes. Nothing responds. To use the system, I have to ssh in and kill the desktop (enlightenment 0.20.7-1, supported package). I tried several times and got the same results.

Then I ran
pacman -Syu

and tried again: same result.

Oddly, I was able to use musescore on this system without any problem a few days ago.

version(s) musescore 2.0.3-2

Have you tried a different WM/DE? Checked the logs?

Next time, leave your extra information in the comments, do NOT file duplicates.

Which log files should I look at?

FYI I did try removing all the config files in ~<user>/MuseScore2 and then reinstalled musescore (via pacman). Same result.

PS haven't tried another DE but will. Thanks.

Problem does NOT occur using mate instead of enlightenment (e20). I'd appreciate any suggestions re which logs to check. Switching DEs is not a great option for me, so I'd like to figure this out. (This is the first program I've tried that doesn't work with e20.)

You can start musescore with the -d flag, that should get you some useful log. Please do NOT post it here, use an external pastebin service instead.
FYI, I don't know where ~user/MuseScore2 came from, but the config files are located in ~/.config like virtually anything out there.

I pushed v2.1.0 this week-end, do you still reproduce ? What about logs, also did you try poking upstream about the issue ?
