Dear programmers: Thanks a lot for your help in advance. Any information you need just ask me and I will answer ASAP. The problem is that mdadm does not recognize my raid 0 disks.

Description:
mdadm does not recognize my RAID 0 array made by Intel RST Bios utility (a.k.a. OROM) version 14.6.0.2285 and I don't see any /dev/md* directories.

Here is the output for the platform command.

# mdadm --detail-platform
Platform : Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology
Version : 14.6.0.2285
RAID Levels : raid0
Chunk Sizes : 4k 8k 16k 32k 64k 128k
2TB volumes : supported
2TB disks : supported
Max Disks : 7
Max Volumes : 2 per array, 4 per controller
I/O Controller : /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:17.0 (SATA)
Port0 : - no device attached -
Port1 : - no device attached -
Port2 : - no device attached -
Port3 : - no device attached -
Port4 : - no device attached -
Port5 : - no device attached -
Port6 : - no device attached -
Port7 : - no device attached -

Additional info:
* package version(s): mdadm 3.4.1 (present on the 2016.05.01 arch dual iso release)
I also have tried with 2015.10 image to test another version of mdadm. (3.3.4) and same thing.

* config and/or log files etc.
Do you need dmesg or something here?

Steps to reproduce:
Get any computer with a Intel RST board with OROM 14.6.0.2285 and bootup the live iso and that's it. Computers that I know has this hardware: MSI GT72S 6QF and Gigabyte P35X V5.

Thanks in advance! Regards!

Same as  FS#46295  or  FS#47781 ?

Dear Doug, Thanks for your question. I don't think that 46295 is related to this. The main difference is that mdadm detects the disks, but can't assemble them. In my case, shows "no device attached". BTW I also tested doing export IMSM_NO_PLATFORM = 1; and mdadm --detail-platform and also with "IMSM_NO_PLATFORM = 1 mdadm --detail-platform" without any success.
Regarding the another one, 47781, it's almost the same case than 46295. In step 3 says "3. Note the presence of your RAID array under /dev/md, using the name you gave it in the RAID configuration interface." and in my case I don't have any "md" under /dev whichs should contain 2 disks I think, I called my disks system0 and system1.
Thank you! Regards!

Has anyone found some workaround to this bug?
Many Thanks!

@Faktor, can you check if this issue still exists in the latest version of archlinux?
