According to a recent mail from Allan[1], 'gcc-6 decided to
enforce the vendor part of the target triplet to be not
"unknown"[; t]his means our vendor string is changed from
"unknown" to
"pc", aligning with the i686 triplet.' He has made the relevant change in the system makepkg.conf[2]; I guess it makes sense to update the makepkg-x86_64.conf template in the devtools package the same way. Additional info: $ pacman -Q pacman devtools pacman 5.0.1-3 devtools 20151129-1 $ egrep -h ^CHOST= /etc/makepkg.conf /usr/share/devtools/makepkg-x86_64.conf CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CHOST="x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu" --- 1. https://lists.archlinux.org/pipermail/arch-dev-public/2016-May/027992.html 2. https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/commit/trunk?h=packages/pacman&id=731c89d7a73889a79302f2b4a74b81b6365c5b6b |
