DetailsIn the vlc package post_install() there is:
gtk-update-icon-cache usr/share/icons/hicolor I'm not really sure what it should do but I got this: No theme index file in 'usr/share/icons/hicolor'. If you really want to create an icon cache here, use --ignore-theme-index. This is on a newly installed system. |

Okey, it seems like there should be hicolor-icon-theme in depends. After installing the package and reinstalling vlc, the message is gone.

there should never be hicolor in depends except for other themes that need it for completeness. The messag is rather an anoyance. I might add the --ignore-theme-index to the install file.
