Gitlab-shell and gitlab are using now uid 105 for user gitlab, but this user is already in use for the user 'git' if you had installed any previous version of the new [community] package... This gets you errors like: groupadd: GID '105' already exists useradd: group 'gitlab' does not exist |

Yes, that is true. Sadly I had to go back to the gitlab user as it was in the AUR package since otherwise I'd conflict with the git user. Sorry for the flip-flopping. It will stay at 'gitlab'.
