Hi,

we would like to support you with a fresh mirror! :)

Here are the requested information about it:

Mirror domain name:
archlinux.mirror.iphh.net

Geographical location of the mirror (country):
Germany

URLs for supported access methods:
http, rsync

Your mirror's available bandwidth:
200 MBit

An administrative contact email:
repository@iphh.net

The name of tier 1 mirror you are syncing from:
rsync://ftp.halifax.rwth-aachen.de/archlinux/

One Question about excludes.

I am confused about two pieces of information in the wiki about excludes:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/DeveloperWiki:NewMirrors

1. Tier 2 requirements: "Sync all contents of the upstream mirror (i.e. do not sync only some repositories)"

2. Mirror size: "Most mirrors do not sync archive, other and sources directories, but sync everything else
(including temporary repositories), so usually you will need about 50GB reserved for Arch Linux mirror."

So are we allowed to exclude "optional" content or no?

Right now we exclude:
--exclude='*.links.tar.gz*' \
--exclude='/other' \
--exclude='/sources' \
--exclude='/archive' \

Thank you in advance :)

Cheers,
Carsten

Yes, excluding optional content is fine, but it's not allowed to exclude for example the kde-unstable repository. We sometimes also create new repositories for certain things and these should be included as well so a blacklist for the few optional things is the way to go.

I've also added your mirror. Thanks.

Closing this since I think it's answered. If you have further questions feel free to reopen it, send a mail to the arch-mirrors mailing list or mail me at mirrors@archlinux.org. (I should really put those other ways of contact into the wiki...)
