Every time the nginx or nginx-mainline package is upgraded or reinstalled, it overwrites /usr/share/nginx/html/index.html which contains the site's home page.
I have attached a fix.

Perhaps you could incorporate makepkg's automatic signature verification while you're at it? I'm attaching a PKGBUILD for nginx that incorporates this as well as the above patch. (Perhaps it could use an additional pkgrel bump before publication?)
Feel free to verify that the key fingerprints in this file match the keys of the official nginx developers.
