Details Some AUR packages have dependencies which are provided by a different AUR package, but not otherwise. For example, orbment-git [1] depends on bemenu, which is only provided by bmenu-git in AUR. Arguably in this particular example, a VCS package should depend on VCS versions, but providers for multiple versions (as done in the repos for libjpeg and libjpeg-turbo, for example), or release packages where dependencies are only available as VCS, are other use cases.
