DetailsFeature request Description:
Implement stateless features in Arch. In a nutshell, a stateless system is one which: * Can operate without custom configuration (a generic host with an empty /etc directory). * Strictly separates the OS configuration, per-system configuration and the user-data stored on that system in order to simplify maintenance and deployment (segregating distribution-provided data /usr and defaults from administrator-provided data and configuration /etc). It seems that systemd provides support for booting a system into a working state, creating an initially-empty /etc and /var directories. See for example this page from Intel Clear Linux: https://clearlinux.org/features/stateless |
