DetailsDescription: This is the same bug as reported here https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/47092 which was previously fixed. The nvidia-304xx-lts driver doen't work.
dmesg returns the same error message: nvidia: Unknown symbol mtrr_del (err 0) I think this is logical since the patch was applied to the nvidia-304xx 304.131-6 driver and the lts driver in the repository is nvidia-304xx-lts 304.131-5. I suppose that this lts driver has not been patched. Additional info: * package version(s): nvidia-304xx-lts 304.131-5 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: upgrade to nvidia-304xx-lts 304.131-5 and linux-lts 4.4.7-1 |
This task depends upon

The new lts kernel doesn't even boot my core2 duo. Had to downgrade the kernel and the nvidia-304xx driver.

Please check 304.131-6 in testing repo.

The problem is fixed with 304.131-6 in testing. Thank you very much Andreas.
