DetailsDescription:
The upstream version of IDEA contains a patched OpenJDK which greatly improves the display quality of fonts. However, this JRE is removed from the Arch package. Since the only alternative would be installing extra packages from AUR like jdk8-openjdk-infinality or jdk8-openjdk-jetbrains-git, I would prefer to have the JRE included or at least available in an extra package. If the original JRE is used, there is also no need to patch idea64.vmoptions, since "-Dawt.useSystemAAFontSettings=lcd" looks perfect. |

I'm not going to use the bundled JDK, as that's a terrible duplication. However, you are free to experiment with settings in .vmoptions and custom jdk packages. In the next version the vmoptions files will be backed up, so they won't be overwritten on every update if they contain local changes.
