DetailsDescription:
Ever since I updated to version 4.8.7-8, I can not list or open files when the name contain non-ASCII characters (For example : éèëêàâçÊÈùû or シークレットシークレット). I have noticed this in 2 applications that use Qt4 : vlc and clementine I tried to rebuild Qt4 in a chroot with all the optional dependencies and I get the same problem. My guess is that Qt 4.8.7 has an issue with icu 57.1-1 I also added a screenshot showing the files being properly listed in dolphin and not showing up properly in VLC's open media dialog. Additional info: * package version(s) : 4.8.7-8 Steps to reproduce: - Using dolphin copy a media file such a FLAC - Modify the name of the copied file to add non-ASCII characters - Try to open the file with clementine or vlc |
