Details

The touchpad settings have no effect.
It is not possible to dissable the touch for klick setting.

I don't use gnome 3 myself, can't confirm, but I did find this yesterday on account of another issue: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=764257#c12
Have you tried the xf86-input-libinput instead of the synaptics one.
