Description:
Gnome-shell is segfault-ing inside of glib randomly. GDM attempts to recover but I end up on a black screen. If I switch back to the session (ctrl+alt+F2) the session is still active but the framebuffer must have reset as the background is messed up.

Additional info:
* gnome-shell 3.20.0-2
* nvidia-361.28-4
* linux-4.4.5-1
* i5-4690K, GTX 970, 16 GB ram, BTRFS on Samsung EVO 850 SSD, system installed in UEFI mode with Secure boot enabled (prebootloader and grub are setup)

Steps to reproduce:
Upgrade from GNOME 3.18 to GNOME 3.20, use system as normal. I also think this is related to the theme in use, the ARC theme. Going to test with the theme disabled.

I can provide the coredump if needed.
