is it possible to remove the xorg dependencies? Since more and more user switching to Wayland by default it makes no sense for me that xorg packages are still an hard dependency. |

i looked into this and it seems that Mutter ist to blame because it need some X Components: https://git.gnome.org/browse/mutter/tree/configure.ac#n61 Sorry that i bothered you with this question then i get the answer myself with a little ivestigating. I hoped that i can get rid of all parts of X because i'm running Wayland without problems.
So not yet; probably not soon, either. Even if we could run without XWayland, X will still be entangled with many libraries.
